Define the engine
Set the V8 combination once: bore, stroke, compression, cylinder-head flow, induction, exhaust, valve size, boost, and intended RPM window.
Camshaft comparison software
Cam-Logic
V8 cam simulation / comparison
Estimate / tune / compare
Build one engine combination, compare multiple camshaft profiles, and see the modeled power-curve trade-offs before you commit to a direction.
Simulate candidate cams before buying parts to help narrow the right first choice for your combination—and reduce the cost and downtime of purchasing cams that do not fit the plan.
Every result is a modeled engineering estimate for planning and comparison only—not a dyno result, installation instruction, guarantee, or substitute for professional engine-builder validation.
Comparison readout
Same engine.
Better cam decision.
Overlay solid horsepower and dashed torque curves for each candidate profile, then compare modeled peak output and usable RPM range side by side.
Component context / roller valvetrain
Roller camshaft and roller lifter hardware, shown in the same performance-engineering context that informs a complete engine combination.
Real combinations. Real decisions.
A cam simulation workspace built to keep the context behind every curve visible and help avoid unnecessary component swaps.
Method / not guesswork
Each candidate is evaluated against the same engine combination, so the curve tells a useful story about the trade-off instead of just displaying a number.
01
Set the V8 combination once: bore, stroke, compression, cylinder-head flow, induction, exhaust, valve size, boost, and intended RPM window.
02
Enter at least three camshaft profiles with duration at 0.050, lift, LSA, intake centerline, and rocker ratio against that same combination.
03
Compare modeled horsepower and torque curves, peak output, useful range, drivability, and compatibility before choosing a direction.
Input guidance / the useful details
Useful simulations require the engine-combination inputs that make the result meaningful—not partial specifications or a cam card alone.
Required context
Start with displacement, compression, cylinder-head flow, induction, and exhaust details. Those inputs define the environment in which every camshaft profile is evaluated.
Airflow
Cylinder-head flow in CFM, intake runner volume, induction, boost, intake-valve size, and exhaust primary size.
Cam event
Duration at 0.050, advertised duration, lift, lobe separation angle, intake timing, and rocker ratio.
Cam duration at 0.050 and cylinder-head flow are especially important: leave either vague, and the comparison becomes less useful.
Buyer feedback
Cam-Logic is collecting verified buyer feedback from builders using the estimator in real planning workflows. This section will publish that feedback once it is available and approved for sharing.

Real feedback matters more than placeholder claims. Check back as Cam-Logic members share verified planning and comparison notes.
